Peter Zougas

With experience in musical styles ranging from orchestral compositions, explosive electronic beats, to laid-back R&B tunes, Peter Zougas is an all-purpose musician. Evidenced by his 15 years of musical composition and production experience, Peter is committed to the craft of musical storytelling and sonic quality. He primarily specializes in orchestral and electronic genres of music but can fit into nearly any style, with a strong background in classical, jazz, rock, and funk music. In addition to composition and production, his skills include sound design, mixing and mastering, singing, playing and teaching piano, and game audio.
Peter started his musical journey at a young age taking piano lessons, and later began writing music primarily in electronic/EDM genres. He soon took an interest in film and game soundtracks, classical composition, and songwriting as additional avenues of musical creativity. He has also composed for various live ensembles and instruments, with pieces ranging from big-band jazz ensembles to full symphonic orchestra to solo piano. He received a diploma in Music Industry Arts from Fanshawe College where he was nominated best 1st year producer, and has received a Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto with a focus on composition, music theory, music technology, and piano pedagogy.
One of his recent achievements includes 1st place for Achievement in Audio at Level Up Showcase 2025, a province-wide showcase of 160 student game projects for his work on “Cooking with a Gun”. Under the electronic/bass music alias “Armored”, Peter self-released several EDM tracks as well as multiple singles and an EP with the independent electronic label Disguised Collective. His music has been showcased on one of the leading Drum and Bass podcasts, Vision Radio, hosted by the world-renowned DnB trio Noisia. He also composed the soundtrack for Unbound: Revival, a short film highlighting Fanshawe College’s fashion design program with catwalk-inspired beats and cinematic soundscapes. As a producer, he has worked with indie-pop/R&B artist Nattra, providing productions and co-writing several singles as well as the “Water & Wine” album. He is currently working on the soundtrack and sound design for DeckTerra, an upcoming 4X-style medieval strategy game, slated to release in 2026.
